How to backup and restore
Protect your website information by making periodic backups from the control panel.
Why are backups important?
Backups are essential to protect your information against:
- Human errors (accidental file deletion)
- Computer attacks or malware
- Errors in plugin or theme updates
- Server failures
Create backups from the control panel

Access the control panel
Log in to control.intergrid.cat

Go to the backups section
Select your hosting and look for the 'Backups' or 'Backups' option.

Generate the backup
Click on 'Create backup' or 'Generate backup'. You can choose to back up files, databases, or everything.

Download the backup
Once generated, download the backup to your computer to keep it stored locally.
Restore a backup
If you need to restore your website to a previous state:
- Access the control panel and go to the backups section
- Select the backup you want to restore
- Click on 'Restore' and confirm the action
- Wait for the process to finish and verify that everything works correctly
Important tips
Make backups periodically
It is recommended to make weekly backups or before making important changes to the website.
Keep local copies
Don't rely only on server backups. Download them and save them on your computer or in the cloud.
