How to install WordPress

Automatic installation from the control panel

Access the control panel

Log in to control.intergrid.cat

Go to the application installer

Select your hosting and look for the 'Application Installer' or 'Softaculous' or 'WordPress' option.

Select WordPress

Click on WordPress and then on 'Install' or 'Install now'.

Configure the installation

Fill in the form with:

  • The domain or directory where you want to install WordPress
  • The website name
  • Username and password for the administrator
  • Administrator email

Complete the installation

Click 'Install' and wait a few moments. You will receive the access credentials to the WordPress administration panel.

First steps after installation

  1. Access the administration panel at domain.cat/wp-admin
  2. Choose and activate a theme (appearance) for your website
  3. Install essential plugins (SEO, security, backups)
  4. Create the basic pages (Home, About us, Contact)
  5. Configure the permalinks (Settings > Permalinks)
